The wise and astute leadership of H.M Sultan Qaboos bin Said ushered rapid developments in various fields including Construction Industry. The distinct development oriented environment, backed with impressive historic, architectural and heritage provided impetus to Dr Salem Nasser Al-Rasby, one of the first Omani Nationals with a Doctorate in Civil Engineering along with two partners, for creation of Gulf Engineering Consultancy (GEC), in the year 1982.
