GLOBAL MONEY EXCHANGE CO LLC - The Company is a household name when people think about remittance and foreign exchange currency business in Oman. We hold sizeable market share in Oman’s remittance industry and can proudly present as one of the strong players in this field. We have grown from a single branch entity in 2002 to one of the largest exchange company in terms of branch network (55 branches).

GMEC is managed by State Bank of India, the largest commercial bank in India and a Fortune 500 Company, with effect from 1st April 2017, and before that by State Bank of Travancore since its inception.

Global Money Exchange Company has bagged the award for Best Exchange Company consecutively for last 4 years (since the inception of the award) acknowledging its continuous above-industry average operational standards.

Today, we have presence across the terrain of the Sultanate, and we have been allocated 5 currency exchange counters in the new Muscat International Airport and 1 in Duqm International Airport. Recently, we have started visa fee collection services at Sohar Airport as well.
